FMCSA Program Administrator Job Overview:

The FMCSA Program Administrator oversees, manages, and conducts the required FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse pre-employment full queries and limited queries as required by Federal FMCSA to ensure compliance with all applicable
rules and regulations by achieving 100% qualification for all company's FMCSA regulation operations.

FMCSA Program Administrator Responsibilities:

  • Keeps track of changes and updates in the FMCSA Clearinghouse regulations and standards. Communicates these changes to the team. Conduct pre-employment full queries. Check if prospective employees are prohibited from performing safety-sensitive functions due to an unresolved drug and alcohol program violation.
  • Track submissions of the pre-employment queries with detail of entries into the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
  • Pending current exemption request from FMCSA to allow limited queries for pre-employment requests and annual limited queries. Follow the new exemption regulations provided to FGA.
  • Serves as the first contact for problem-solving on all issues between Clearinghouse and local or regional
    staff.
  • Resolves compliance issues through investigation, recommendation, and follow-up.

FMCSA Program Administrator Education/Experience/Skills Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Must have computer skills in Microsoft Office programs
  • Knowledge of DOT drug and alcohol, federal regulations
  • Familiar with First Student policies and standards, including nuances between various states and customer contracts
  • Required to sign First Student Confidentiality Agreement
