“My son is four. He’s got a lot of special needs and a lot of doctor’s appointments. Working a couple of hours in the morning a couple hours in the afternoon makes it easy for me to get him to all of his appointments. When my mom’s not available to watch him, I can bring him with me as part of the child ride-along program. It is very convenient because childcare for a special needs child is very expensive.”
